After chasing waves, and açaí, , through surf spots around the world, founders Rob Giuliani and Abby Taylor brought that bright, tropical energy home to Belmar NJ. What began as a small sidewalk cart quickly became a local favorite, and then a nationwide movement, all powered by fresh ingredients, coastal vibes, and the feeling of summer every day.
Founded on the Jersey Shore by two friends with a passion for açaí and beach-town living.
Turns out people really loved it! What started as a local favorite quickly grew, expanding to locations across New Jersey and New York.
Beach vibes don’t stay local for long! Playa opened its first locations outside the Northeast, bringing beach vibes to new cities nationwide.
As the world shifted, Playa adapted with digital ordering and delivery to better serve our community, finding new ways to show up for you.
A lot of bowls later, Playa reached a major milestone, expanding to over 100 locations across more than 20 states!
We’re continuing to grow with the same roots, always focusing on quality and the Playa way of doing things!
